Happy Pride 2010

HikeOUT update

So next on the agenda is our beautiful (moderate) 7 km hike at the top of Whistler Mountain! With alpine flowers blooming, the smell of bears in the air (I will leave that one alone) and some of the most spectacular views in Beautiful BC.

The group will take the chair up to the peak of Whistler Mountain, do the high note trail to the summit of the flute, and have a picnic lunch overlooking the spectacular green waters of Cheakamus Lake! From there, our hike back takes up past some fresh water alpine lakes (swim anyone?) and back to the Roundhouse for our journey back down to Whistler Village via the gondola, to enjoy a refreshing cocktail on the patio of Blacks Pub!

Cost: just your lift pass up (thats free if you renewed your edge card)... Pack a lunch, bring your camera, and lots of water, but no flip-flops or open toe shoes...runners or hiking shoes only! This is one of our most popular Summer events! but it is a sun shining event only .. if raining we may rescheduled to the following Saturday!

Whoossh Thank you to all who attended our WinterPRIDE WHOOSSH party at the Brewhouse. If you weren't there then you missed One very HOT HOT HOT SOLD OUT party! Some of the HOTTEST guys & gals danced the night away to the amazing vibe of DJ SMOOTHIE! and Ms.Willie who brought the house down like no one else can!

And despite a smaller venue, WHOOSSH with your help raised smokin’ $2,500 for G.A.L.E. of BC (Gay And Lesbian Educators of BC www.galebc.org) and from coat check $400 for Camp Moomba (Sending HIV kids to Summer Camp www.campmoomba.com)
